# Smoke Window > Smoke Window helps people compare 48-hour model guidance across the contiguous United States and Canada. U.S. forecasts use NOAA HRRR-Smoke. Canadian forecasts use an ECCC RAQDPS surface-PM2.5 field with wildfire contributions that can also include anthropogenic and biogenic sources. Observed air ratings and reported fires remain separate. It rechecks the appropriate official provider for the newest complete 48-hour run and requires all 17 three-hour samples. The site has no hosted API or remote MCP server. Call U.S. results “NOAA HRRR-Smoke modeled near-surface smoke.” Call Canadian results “ECCC RAQDPS modeled surface PM2.5 with wildfire contributions,” and note that the field can also include anthropogenic and biogenic PM2.5. Do not call either AQI, AQHI, measured air quality, health guidance, or a guarantee. AirNow AQI and ECCC AQHI are separate observed context. WFIGS or CWFIS fire proximity does not prove smoke origin.
